GUEST LECTURE BY RENOWNED MANAGEMENT PROFESSOR
Prof. Joshua Ronen, renowned management professor from New York University Stern School of Business visited Bangalore to deliver a lecture at Rai Technology University in Doddaballapur.
Prof. Ronen is a Professor of Accounting with a rich experience of 40 years in teaching managerial accounting, financial accounting and has rich experience in research in the areas of capital markets, disclosure, corporate governance, transfer pricing, etc. Prof. Ronen has authored numerous books on Entrepreneurship, Accounting. He has also been a consultant to numerous organizations including law firms as expert witness in the area of securities litigation.
Prof. Ronen visited Bangalore with the specific purpose of delivering a guest lecture at Rai Technology University in Doddaballapur. He was received in the campus by the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rupa Vasudevan and the Registrar Dr. Arvind Dhar.
The lecture program was hosted by the Dean, School of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry Dr. Chitharaichelvan Ranganath, who welcomed the gathering. The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and invocation. The guests Prof. Ronen and Mrs. Ronen were felicitated by the Registrar Dr. Arvind Dhar and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rupa Vasudevan.
The Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rupa Vasudevan addressed the gathering and welcomed Prof.Ronen. She spoke about her vision of how RTU could make a name globally.
Prof. Ronen delivered a lecture on Entrepreneurship to the students of Rai Technology University. His talk focused on how successful entrepreneurs focused on research and disruptive innovations to create successful ventures. The talk was well-received by the students and staff of the University.
The Registrar Dr. Arvind Dhar addressed the gathering and spoke about how the concept of disruptive innovation existed in India since ages and he also spoke about how the concepts explained by Prof. Ronen could be used by our students who could become successful entrepreneurs.
The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Chitharaichelvan Ranganath.
