FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Upgrading skills of faculty is a vital aspect of academics for any educational institution. Keeping this in mind, Rai Technology University organized a one day Faculty Development Program for its entire teaching staff. The program was organized for all the schools, namely
a) School of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry
b) School of Engineering and Applied Science
c) School of Arts and Management Studies
The program was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rupa Vasudevan who highlighted the importance of academics in the University's overall activities. She also called on the faculties to work towards excellence in academics.
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor Mrs. Anuradha Dhar addressed the faculties and highlighted the importance of academics and providing good education to students.
The workshop covered the following areas:
a) UGC guidelines on ragging by Dr. Chitrachalvan, Dean, School of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry
b) RTU, Faculty Code of Conduct and Gender Sensitization by senior faculty Prof. Nagaraj
c) Communication and Presentation Skills by Mr.Deepak MR, Head of School of Engineering and Management
d) Technical sessions on curriculum and syllabi for respective schools
The workshop ended with all the faculties geared up to welcome the students for the academic session and to start off with the orientation program for students.
