Pre-Orientation Program for M.I.T Students
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T) is one the leading private research Universities in the USA. MIT is known for research and education in engineering, physical sciences, Biology and Management. M.I.T is a preferred destination for Indians who wants to pursue higher studies abroad.
M.I.T recently organized a Pre orientation program for its new students at RAI TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY's campus in Doddaballapur, Bangalore. The program was organized through M.I.T Sangam, which is the Association of Indian Students at M.I.T. Sangam is an association of Indian and Indian-origin students whose aim is to preserve and promote Indian culture in the Greater Boston area. This orientation program was organized to help new joinees at MIT to understand about life at MIT, preparations and academics.
The program was held recently with the Sangam executive team members and participants arriving at RAI TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY campus itself.The attendees stayed at R.T.U campus hostel during the course of the program.
The first day of the program commenced with introductions by the members and introduction to Sangam by the executive members of Sangam. The first day also had detailed presentations on life in the U.S, preparation to be made by students arriving at MIT and about the academics at MIT.
On the second day, the students visited the palace city Mysore for an organized tour, where they experienced the cultural heritage of the royal city. The day ended with a dinner party attended by the management of Rai Technology University and all the participants.
The program concluded on the third day with presentations and discussion sessions, also participated in sapling planting. Participants returned home fully geared up for life at M.I.T and fully satisfied with their stay and hospitality at Rai Technology University.
